E-commerce lending depends on where the revenue lives. Marketplace sellers, including Amazon FBA sellers, eBay traders and Shopify stores, have access to embedded RBF; off-marketplace DTC brands rely on mainstream term lenders or stock finance specialists. This FundBiz ranking assesses 5 UK lenders for "best uk business loans for e-commerce and amazon sellers", weighting primarily on marketplace and gateway integration (30%), stock and inventory finance fit (20%), decision speed (20%) (see the full weighted criteria below). Scores are our own desk-research assessment built from the FCA Register, Companies House filings and each lender's published product criteria, not customer reviews and not paid placement. Lenders don't pay for inclusion or rankings. If you send an enquiry, we pass it to a business finance broker, who pays us a fixed fee; you pay nothing.

What is the best business loan for a UK e-commerce or DTC brand?
For marketplace sellers (Amazon, eBay, Shopify), embedded RBF from YouLend or Liberis is often a quick route. For off-marketplace DTC, an iwoca flexi-loan or Funding Circle term loan covers stock and growth. For marketing spend, see specialist providers like Wayflyer.
How does revenue-based financing work for UK marketplace sellers?
You receive a lump sum, repaid as a fixed percentage of marketplace sales until a pre-agreed total is met. Underwriting is largely automated against your marketplace data. Providers charge a fixed fee set per offer rather than interest; YouLend quotes approval in as little as 24 hours and Liberis funding in as little as 24 hours.
Can a UK Amazon FBA seller get pre-approved finance?
Possibly. In the UK, Amazon Lending works through third-party finance providers: eligible sellers check for a financing invitation in Seller Central, and Amazon says getting an offer doesn't affect your credit score. YouLend also lists Amazon among the platforms it partners with.
What turnover does a UK DTC brand need to qualify for finance?
Each lender sets its own threshold. iwoca typically lends up to 20% of annual turnover, marketplace RBF providers size offers from your platform sales, and stock finance specialists usually look for an established trading record. Smaller brands often rely on personal funding or marketplace RBF.
Is stock finance available for UK e-commerce?
Yes, from specialist stock-finance lenders against confirmed purchase orders or held inventory. Pricing is quoted per case. Smaller operations often blend an iwoca flexi-loan with supplier credit terms instead.
